John Deere — Electrification

John Deere is now a technology company. And while that may not be entirely true, it isn’t not true.
And that's where this collaboration with our friends at Farm League kicked off.
The technological advances they’re innovating at Deere are staggering. This project was to focus on the creation of electric models of their series 5 tractors. Their narrow body workhorses that are primarily used for high value crops like nuts, fruits and vegetables.
Customers were split on the idea of electric, so we needed to prove that this was an exciting option if you’d been curious about sustainability in your operation. But that it was just one option in a variety of options at your disposal. The ol’ get excited but don’t freak out you’ll still be able to buy gas-powered tractors scenario.
The video was originally intended as an internal hype piece. Something to rally and galvanize internal John Deere teams and possibly a trade show or two. But they loved it so much they wanted it to join the trade show circuit and be part of the announcement PR package for the project.
